Four contenders for Kapolei homes
Four developers have been chosen as finalists to build affordable housing on a 20-acre site in Kapolei.
The state Housing and Community Development Corporation of Hawaii has selected the four from among 19 contenders for three parcels, to be in the Villages of Kapolei.
The contenders are: Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii Inc., D.R. Horton Homes, Schuler Division, Enhanced Affordable Development Company LLC of California and UniDev LLC of California.
The four submitted proposals at the end of April.
The agency, which wants to produce the maximum number of affordable housing units while using the least amount of state resources, will select the finalist by July.
