2,100 acres near Wahiawa up for sale

Pacific Business News (Honolulu) - HAST Thursday

Some 2,100 acres of former pineapple fields in Central Oahu have been put on the market.

The George Galbraith Trust, which terminates next year, is liquidating its holdings which include the 24 individual and contiguous parcels of agricultural-zoned land near Wahiawa.

Cushman & Wakefield and Sofos Realty Corp. on Wednesday formally offered the land adjacent to Wahiawa town, near Lake Wilson and Schofield Barracks, and are taking bids on it until Jan. 17.

The top prospects will be selected a week later, on Jan. 25.

The trust, formed in 1904, historically leased the land to pineapple growers, including Del Monte.
