Doug Davis is the Principal Broker and co-founder of Doug Davis Realty, the leading boutique real estate firm in Oahu*. Doug has over $250 million in sales in just the past 10 years, which put him in the elite top 5% tier in the Oahu sales. Doug Davis Realty covers the entire island of Oahu -- including the luxury estates on Diamond Head, Black Point and Hawaii Kai.
Doug Davis, a Punahou School graduate ('75) and longstanding Outrigger Canoe Club member, has enjoyed a remarkable career and has developed close personal ties with local, government, business and educational people alike. His endeavors include a wide range of successful high and low price point pursuits in real estate, including residential and multi-family real estate sales, as well as consulting.
Doug learned the real estate business in Honolulu while working at Mike McCormack Realtors, a real estate firm specializing in residential real estate. Then, he helped bring the Coldwell Banker franchise to Hawaii with Coldwell Banker McCormack. With the departure of McCormack, Doug left to help build Premier Realty 2000, Inc. in 1999.
In 2005, Doug parlayed his considerable experience and formed Doug Davis Realty with Edward Brinkman in 2005 to focus his residential real estate activities. Since then, he has conducted over 1000 transactions for both residential as well as multi-family properties.
Doug’s local knowledge and his astute understanding of ever changing laws and customs of the beautiful Island state are strong assets, which serve him well in reaching out to and attracting both buyers and sellers. His thorough knowledge and history of Oahu Real Estate, zoning, financing and negotiating simple and complicated transactions have enabled him to provide excellent service to his many clients. Moreover, brokers and managers from competing company’s state wide often call Doug for his opinion and expert advice on encroachment, zoning and sub-division law. Every appraiser on Oahu knows Doug by name because of the constant calls they have to make to him to verify his recent sales to use in their appraisal business.
In his spare time, Doug is a class II canoe steersman and has competed in canoe racing as a member of the world famous Outrigger Canoe Club. He usually surfs at least 10 hours a week, runs, scuba dives and is an avid reader.
